TWO THMUBS UP!!!
The LAN is booming and as more flunkyards, more movies and more everything is added to the ever burgeoning number, its time to take stock of the few movies Ive seen so far this sem, and maybe give Roger Ebert a run for his money!!.. Thanks to my light and flexible timetable (do I see the mech guys fuming??)

DODGEBALL- Save the best for last, they say...Thats exactly what Im doing..This was easily one of the most boring and insipid movies Ive seen in my entire life. If all the movies on the LAN are deleted overnight and only this one remains, I suggest u stick to ogling at sexy wallpapers and listening to Sean Paul..Ben Stiller is absolutely atrocious as White Goodman..Vince Vaughn is just about tolerable, and what were Lance Armstrong, William Shatner and the rest of the bevy thinking when they signed the dotted line?? I can go on and on about Ben Stiller's atrociously sketched role but the less said about this movie, the better. And please do not watch the ferocious kissing scene towards the end of the film, it might reult in a forceful upthrow of mess food.
BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID-A good movie about a band of bandits perpetually on the run.. Surprisingly, the only thing that sticks around in my head after the movie is them running from an invisible enemy, and that the movie as such wasnt as path breaking as it was made out to be. Robert Redford is solemn and Paul Newman is, in a way sprightly..The chemistry between Butch and Sundance is amazing. Pretty good and worth a watch.
THE DEVILS ADVOCATE-Taylor Hackford(Ray and some other movie I cant recollect) exacts a telling performance from Al Pacino in this sofcore porn flick. The boobs and cunts shown are worth only the most intensive voyeur's time, though, and should not take away from the brilliant movie. The treatment left very little to be desired, and the last few scenes left a telling effect on me..The vicious cycle that is the movie is injected with something that was present in Ray in less quantity.. Amazing..
SEVEN SAMURAI-All hail Kurosawa....All hail Kurosawa again.. This universally acclaimed cinematic masterpiece that was the inspiration for our very own GODLIKE movie ''Sholay'' was one of the very few movies that managed to reach my lofty expectations of it.. It was just as I expected it to be.. Kurosawa intersperses the narrative with masterful scenes that do strike a chord.. The last scene deserves special mention. I feel the last scene of a movie is a defining moment of how a viewer will think of a movie in retrospect..This movie has one of the most striking..If you can forgive this 1954 classic for being in Black and white, then watch it right now..Courtesy SLASH
Within Earshot- Nirvana_Unplugged live in new york...14 songs, 1 singer, a night to remember
